The University of Washington International Law Journal is open for submissions for Immigration-related articles to be published in its upcoming Volume 31 Winter Edition. Manuscripts may be submitted through Scholastica or directly to winljart@uw.edu. Deadline: August 15th.

Submissions should include the following:

1. Manuscript as a Word file with double spaced text. Footnotes should conform with The Bluebook (21st Edition).

2. A maximum word count of 25,000.

3. An abstract of the article.

4. Current curriculum vitae with author contact information.

Please note the focus of our special Symposium 2022 edition:

With the rise in decisively nationalistic and anti-immigrant rhetoric throughout the world, coupled with a fierce global pandemic, our international borders have been redefined and reinforced. The Washington International Law Journal extends an invitation to re-imagine and redefine those borders and come to terms with the impact of increasingly restrictive immigration policies. Through its Winter Publication and accompanying Spring Symposium the Washington International Law Journal aims to analyze trends in immigration through a variety of lenses including, human rights, race, labor, corporations, global health, the environment, and economics.

I saw this post this evening, but I see that you had a August 15th deadline.  I have a law review essay (21,000 words) that analyzes a new model of undocumented student scholarship fundraising in light of the gridlock with federal immigration law reform in the U.S. and polarized political attitudes about immigrants.  If you are still open to submissions for this symposium, please let me know.
Sincerely,
